Regional South Australia is a significant contributor to the economy. Its regions collectively produce one quarter of the national barley crop and two thirds of Australia’s wine exports.
Regional SA also produces just under half of the nation’s green power and is Australia’s largest and most diverse aquaculture industry. A diverse economy, coupled with existing mature industries including manufacturing, mineral smelting, commercial fishing, agriculture, viticulture, tourism and food, make the Yorke and Mid North a leading region for the attraction of investment. |
